BlackBerry 8900 Review

Smaller than the Bold, but the packaging for many functions, the BlackBerry Curve 8900 is one of our favorites of all time blackberries. The ideal is of medium size, with a QWERTY keyboard and a bright high resolution, it is an almost perfect device for mobile email. Other key features include a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus, video camera, music player, GPS, a high-capacity battery, Wi-Fi, and a lot of memory. The only important thing missing is 3G.

The BlackBerry 8900 is the newest BlackBerry Curve series, and is one of the best BlackBerry ever. The name suggests that the grooves of the BlackBerry line just below the BlackBerry Bold, but despite its lack of 3G, it's always a little better than the Bold.

Like others in the curve of the series, the 8900 has a full QWERTY keyboard, 35-keyboard with trackball. It is almost identical to the Bold, but it is smaller and lighter, running on the same weight as many standard telephones and compact enough to slip easily into a jacket pocket or even your pocket. This alone is the most common unit curves for age or fat.

Before starting our analysis, we will take a moment to enjoy the ergonomics and build Unboxing 8900th of 8900, one can not but admire the quality of construction of the device - it just feels built so solid and good. Unlike many phones, with the back of the SIM card and battery, it's that simple. The buttons are really small, but they move crisply and everyone should have no problem with them with your fingers on the beach at normal size for Homo sapiens. You can even use it without help. The scroll wheel is the same as in previous blackberries - some love it, others are less enthusiastic. We are not 100% in favor of the scroll wheel, but does the job.

Turning to the next screen. This is huge! To 2.44 inches wide and a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels, this is the type of display you have to read emails or surf the Internet (and even less to look to view photos or videos.) In this screen corresponds to the iPhone 3G is slightly ahead of everything else in life. The menus are very simple, and once I got used to the scroll wheel and the overall size of the unit, you will notice that the 8900 phone is almost perfect, ergonomically speaking. For us it is the closest I have ever achieved perfection BlackBerry. Just a little more work on menus and a scrolling wheel and 100% smooth.

Well, of course, is the key selling point of a BlackBerry email on the move, and not disappoint the 8900th There is little difference from previous BlackBerry, so that we can only repeat that the mobile BlackBerry e-mail is the best in the industry. It is compatible with virtually all standard mail. It also supports attachments using a viewer and editor for Microsoft Office documents. In combination with the large screen and QWERTY keyboard means you get the best mobile messaging experience. There is also an ideal environment for text messaging.

But the 8900 is much more than mobile email. On the one hand, has the best camera to appear on any current Blackberry. A 3.2 megapixel camera, LED flash and autofocus, it's the same quality as the camera on the BlackBerry Storm, and even the chamber of the Bold. There can be no substitute for the 8-megapixel camera, but they produce excellent print quality images, and is a welcome addition. This is another possibility that the Curve 8900 is almost a normal phone. The phone has a media player of course, and with features like playlists, Shuffle and the organization of the artist and the album is a very useful MP3 player. He is very strong too! The 3 5 mm headset jack lets you connect any compatible headset, as always. You can also use a Bluetooth stereo headset if you prefer. Offers a 1GB card with microSD memory included, and the possibility of expanding to 16 GB, it will not run out of storage for music or videos. The video player works well, with the support of DivX and XviD, and flicker-free playback of high quality LCD screen. There are also the five games included (from Sudoku BrickBreaker), though (can all work can not be played on mobile phones in the UK!) The series of tests of these there are also built-in GPS is reached, you will find the current location, and This can be used with BlackBerry Maps.

The 8900 has a full range of connectivity options like Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, USB and WiFi. The WiFi connection is very easy to configure and provides access to e-mail, web or data on your PC. This is probably the best way to use the integrated Web browser.

The 8900 has a huge truck battery, contributing to their weight significantly, but there is a lot of perseverance, even under high load. It can be from the network or via USB charge cable of your PC again.

The 8900 is a quad-band phone, so it can be used worldwide, and the utility that comes with a charger also international, so do not forget to take care of your travel package. But the function that is clearly lacking, which is 3G. The Bold has 3G, 3G has the storm, why not 8900? For some, this may be a show stopper, and it is certainly a shame to have to rely on 2G data transfer with this powerful device.

Finally, it is interesting to note that this is a crusher Curve 8900. Besides the quality of physical construction, the coefficient is very high, 8900, the latest in a mature development of business units. Unlike some competitors, there is very little about the 8900 with a "beta"-feeling. Nice features are the variety of ringtones and alerts (audio and visual), wealth status icons on the screen (for example, missed calls, messages, without opening, connection status and timing of warnings.)

This is certainly one of our favorites of all time blackberries. The 8900 is really a multimedia device that can communicate at a single point for communication, music, media, photography, make Web browsing and GPS. Oh, if only 3G! Apart from the lack of 3G, which is really the best BlackBerry ever.
